Stamped keeps a record of everything about a car you own — every service, every receipt, every mile — and turns it into a Service Book you can hand to a buyer. We are happy to help with any questions or issues.
Tap Add vehicle in the Garage. Enter the VIN and Stamped fills in the year, make, model, engine and body style for you using the free NHTSA database. If you would rather not send the VIN, or the car has no VIN — a trailer, a mower — type the details in by hand instead. Nothing about the App requires a VIN.
Because backfilling years of old records out of order is completely normal, and an app that refuses the entry is an app you give up on. Stamped flags a reading that is lower than the one before it, shows it as a marked point on the odometer chain in the Service Book, and lets you carry on. It never silently "corrects" a number you typed.

One purchase unlocks four things: every vehicle you own, receipt scanning, saving and sharing the Service Book, and sharing your garage with your household.
It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and Family Sharing is on, so it covers up to six people in your family. Accepting a garage someone else shares with you is always free.
No. Archived vehicles never count. Keeping the history of a car you no longer own is not a paid feature — open the vehicle, mark it sold, and it moves out of your active garage with its full record intact.
Open the paywall from any locked feature and tap Restore purchase. If you bought it on a family member's account, make sure Family Sharing is on for your Apple Account and you are signed in to the same family.
There is no account and no sign-up. Your records live on your iPhone and, if you are signed in to iCloud, in the private area of your own iCloud — not on any server of ours. That is what keeps your iPhone and iPad in step. If you are not signed in to iCloud, everything works the same way on that one device.
Both devices need to be signed in to the same iCloud account, with iCloud Drive on, and connected to a network. Sync is handled by iOS and can take a little while after a large import. If a device shows a warning that your records could not be opened, do not add anything on it — restart the App first, and get in touch if it persists.
Go to the Sharing tab and tap Share this garage. Invite people the same way you would share an album or a note. Everyone you invite logs to the same vehicles from their own iPhone, so whoever fills the tank records the fill-up.
Everyone in a shared garage can see one another's names and the iCloud addresses their invitations went to. Only the owner needs to have bought the unlock.
Settings → Export everything. One tap. You get a CSV of every record, every photo and receipt at full quality, a plain records PDF for each vehicle, and a fuel file that other apps can read. It is free, permanently, whether or not you have bought the unlock — there is no version of Stamped that holds your own data back.
Settings → Erase my garage. It removes everything you own, on every device signed in to your iCloud, and never touches a garage someone else shared with you.
Yes, and it is free. Settings → Import records reads a Fuelly export or a Stamped export from another device. Every row is accounted for — anything Stamped cannot read is listed for you rather than dropped quietly.
Check that notifications are allowed, in iOS Settings → Notifications → Stamped. iOS only asks once, so if you declined the first time you have to allow it there. Reminders are scheduled on your device rather than pushed from a server, and mileage-based reminders are estimated from how far you actually drive, so they move as you log more.
They come straight from the public NHTSA and fueleconomy.gov databases and are shown as those agencies publish them. Recalls are matched by year, make and model, so a recall may not apply to your exact build — always confirm with a dealer using your VIN before acting on one. If no EPA match is found for your model, Stamped leaves the comparison out rather than showing a guess.
The Full record is everything, including costs and your private notes — it is for you. The Buyer Report leaves out what a buyer has no business seeing, and says on the page that it left them out, so nothing looks hidden.

Effective 4 September 2026. These terms govern your use of the Stamped iPhone and iPad app (the "App"), made by Nigelware. By using the App you agree to them.
You must be old enough to consent to these terms where you live. Stamped is a record-keeping tool for vehicle owners.
What you record in Stamped is yours. We claim no ownership of it, we do not have a copy of it, and we cannot read it. It is held on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your own iCloud account under your agreement with Apple.
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter, and for keeping your own backup — the free export exists for exactly that.
When you share a garage you are choosing to give the people you invite access to those vehicles and records, including the ability to add and change them. Everyone in a share can see the names and iCloud addresses of the others. Share only with people you trust with that record.
A garage belongs to the person who created it. Removing a participant, or their leaving, ends their access; it does not delete anything.
The Service Book is a document generated from what you have entered. It reports your own records back to you and to anyone you give it to. It is not a vehicle history report, a title check, an inspection, a warranty, or a certification of any kind, it is not verified by us or by any third party, and it makes no statement about a vehicle beyond what you recorded. Nothing in the App is a promise about what a vehicle is worth or what it will sell for.
Stamped shows VIN decodes and safety recalls from the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, and fuel-economy figures from the US Environmental Protection Agency's fueleconomy.gov. That information is provided by those agencies, not by us. It may be incomplete or out of date, and a recall matched by year, make and model may not apply to your particular vehicle. Confirm anything safety-related with a dealer or qualified mechanic using your VIN.
We aim to keep Stamped working, but we do not promise uninterrupted service, and features may change over time. Sync depends on Apple's iCloud, which is outside our control. If we ever discontinue the App, the export already in it means your records remain yours in an open format.
You may stop using Stamped at any time. Erase my garage, in Settings, deletes everything you own; deleting the App removes what is held on that device.
Stamped is provided "as is". It is a record-keeping tool. It is not mechanical, safety, legal, financial or professional advice of any kind, and it does not tell you whether a vehicle is safe to drive or what maintenance it needs. Follow your manufacturer's schedule and consult a qualified mechanic.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nigelware is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including any loss arising from a sale, a purchase, a missed service, or reliance on third-party recall or economy data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and you may have rights under your local consumer law that these terms do not affect.
We may update these terms. If a change is material we will update the date above and note it in the App before it takes effect.
