Stamped ("the App") is developed by Nigelware ("we", "our", "us"). Stamped keeps a record of the vehicles you own — every service, receipt, fill-up and mile — and turns that record into a Service Book you can hand to a buyer. This policy explains where those records live, the three things the App looks up on the internet, and what we do not collect.
Stamped has no sign-up screen. We do not create user accounts, and we do not collect your name, email address, or location.
Your records are held in a database on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud, that database is mirrored to the private area of your own iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit, which is what keeps your iPhone and iPad in step. That data sits in your Apple account, under Apple's terms, and is not visible to us. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
If you are not signed in to iCloud, or you turn iCloud off for Stamped, the App works exactly the same way with everything held only on that device.
All of the following is stored on your device and, when iCloud is on, in your private iCloud:
Stamped contacts exactly three public services, all of them run by the United States government, and only for the reasons below. There is no other network traffic. Every result is cached on your device so the same lookup is not repeated, and each one has a manual fallback so the App works fully offline.

These requests carry no account, no advertising identifier, and nothing that identifies you as a person. Like any request to any website, they do reach those services from your device's IP address, and those agencies may log it in their own server records. We do not receive those logs, and we never see that your device made the request. Your service history, receipts, costs, notes and photos are never sent to any of them.
You can avoid the VIN lookup entirely by typing your vehicle's details in by hand instead of scanning or entering a VIN.
Stamped lets you share your garage with other people so everyone logs to the same vehicles. This uses Apple's iCloud Sharing. When you invite someone, or accept an invitation:
A garage someone else has shared with you belongs to them, not to you. Leaving their share removes your access to it; it does not delete their records.
When you scan a receipt, the text is read by Apple's Vision framework, which runs entirely on your iPhone. The photograph is not uploaded anywhere. If your device supports Apple's on-device foundation models, those are used to tidy up the result — also on the device.
Stamped asks for camera access only when you scan, and for photo library access only when you pick an existing picture. You can decline both and still use every other part of the App.
Stamped is free to download, with one optional in-app purchase that unlocks additional vehicles, receipt scanning, saving and sharing the Service Book, and sharing your garage. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and Family Sharing is enabled.
Payment, receipts and restoring a purchase are handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive your name, your payment card, or your Apple Account details — only whether this device is entitled to the unlock.
Service reminders are scheduled locally on your device by iOS. They are not push notifications, they are not sent through any server, and their contents never leave your iPhone. You can decline notifications and keep using the App; reminders will simply appear in the App rather than as alerts.
We do not sell your information, because we do not have it.
Stamped is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Two things are free in Stamped, permanently, whether or not you have bought the unlock:
Because your records are in your own iCloud rather than on our servers, there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf and no request you need to send us to get your data out. Deleting the App removes what is on that device; use Erase my garage first if you also want it gone from iCloud.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
