Privacy Policy

Nailroom ("the App") is developed by Nigelware ("we", "our", "us"). Nailroom lets you try nail designs on a photo of your own hands. This policy explains what leaves your iPhone, what stays on it, and who processes a try-on.

1. No account

Nailroom does not require a sign-up. We do not create user accounts, and we do not collect your name, email, or precise location. Deleting the App from your device deletes saved looks, journal entries, and on-device preferences stored there.

2. Data that never leaves your device

The following is stored only on your iPhone (and, for the share extension, in the App's shared App Group container on that same device). It is never uploaded to Nigelware except as described in section 3:

• Saved try-ons and journal photos: looks you keep and sets you log, including optional cost and salon notes.
• Settings: onboarding, renderer preference, reminder cadence, and free-tier counters.
• Install identifier: a random ID used only to pace renderer abuse. It is not an account.
• Nailroom Plus status: stored locally; Apple is the source of truth for whether a subscription is active.

3. Try-on, Describe, and Inspo (cloud requests)

A photograph is sent only when you try a look on, or when you use Describe or Inspo with a screenshot. We receive that image only to paint or interpret the look.

What is sent:

• The hand photo or screenshot you chose.
• A short description of the design being painted (catalog tags, or the words you typed for Describe).
• A random per-install identifier, used only by our proxy to rate-limit abuse. It is not an account, and it is not used to build a profile of you.

Where it goes:

• Our proxy — a Cloudflare Worker we operate. It injects the API key, enforces daily limits (including by install and by IP address), and forwards the photo to the image model. Photos are not written to our storage. They are dropped when the request finishes — within minutes, and always within the hour. Cloudflare's processing of Worker traffic is described in Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
• The image-processing provider (currently Google Gemini). It paints or interprets the look from the photo and description we send. That processing is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

We do not use your photos for advertising, analytics profiles, or training models. We do not sell your information.

4. Product analytics

We send anonymous product events (for example, that a try-on finished) to PostHog so we can see whether the App works. Those events do not include your photos, name, or email. PostHog's processing is described in PostHog's Privacy Policy.

5. Purchases

Nailroom Plus is an auto-renewable subscription sold through the App Store. Payment, receipts, and restore are handled by Apple. We do not receive your name, payment card, or Apple ID. See Apple's Privacy Policy.

6. Notifications

Fill and removal reminders are scheduled on the device. They are not sent through our servers.

7. What we do not collect

• Your name, email, or an account
• Advertising identifiers
• Crash reports to a third-party service
• Contacts, microphone, or health data

8. Children's privacy

Nailroom is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Your choices

Delete saved looks and journal entries in the App. Uninstalling Nailroom removes on-device data. To ask a question or request deletion of anything we might still hold, email nigeldbentley@gmail.com.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
