Nigelware ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Scroll IQ mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

Account Information (Optional)
Sign in with Apple: If you choose to sign in, we receive your Apple ID user identifier and optionally your name (for leaderboard display). We do not receive your email address.
Display Name: A name you choose to display on the leaderboard (limited to 20 characters)
Gameplay Data
Progress Data: XP earned, challenges completed, streaks, and high scores
Game Statistics: Performance metrics for different challenge types
Daily Play Records: Calendar data showing your play history
Badges and Achievements: Earned badges and milestone completions
Leaderboard Data (If Signed In)
Scores: Your Blitz mode high scores submitted to the global leaderboard
Display Name: The name you choose to show on the leaderboard
Submission Time: When your score was submitted
Automatically Collected Data
Device Information: iOS version, device model (for app optimization)
Usage Data: How you interact with app features and session duration
Subscription Status: Whether you have an active premium subscription
How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
Provide and maintain the App's functionality
Track your progress, streaks, and achievements
Display leaderboard rankings (if you choose to participate)

Local Storage
On-Device Data: Your gameplay progress, statistics, and preferences are stored locally on your device using SwiftData
iCloud Sync: If enabled on your device, local data may sync across your devices via iCloud
Cloud Storage
Firebase Authentication: If you sign in, your authentication credentials are securely managed by Firebase (Google)
Firestore Database: Leaderboard entries are stored in Google Cloud Firestore
Security: All cloud data is transmitted using industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS)
Your Choice: You can use the App without signing in. Leaderboard features require authentication, but all core gameplay features work offline.

Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties except:
To service providers who assist in operating the App (Firebase, Superwall)
If required by law or to protect our rights
Leaderboard display names are visible to other users who view the leaderboard
Push Notifications
With your permission, we may send:
Streak Reminders: Daily reminders to maintain your streak
Daily Run Alerts: Reminders about daily challenges
Achievement Notifications: Alerts when you earn badges or reach milestones
You can disable notifications at any time in the App settings or iOS Settings.
In-App Purchases
Scroll IQ offers optional premium features through subscription purchases. Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information.
Children's Privacy
Scroll IQ is designed to be accessible to users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
Access your personal data stored within the App
Request deletion of your leaderboard data by contacting us
Delete all local data by removing the App from your device
Control notification preferences within the App
Sign out of your account at any time
Data Retention
Local Data: Retained on your device until you delete the App
Leaderboard Data: Retained until you request deletion or delete your account
Authentication Data: Managed by Firebase according to their retention policies
International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, where our service providers (Google/Firebase) operate their servers. By using the App, you consent to such transfers.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App or through app updates. Changes are effective immediately upon posting.
