Nigelware ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Potterhead mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

Device Identifier: A unique anonymous identifier for your device to track your game progress
Game Statistics: Your gameplay metrics including scores, streaks, house points earned, and trivia performance

Username: The display name you choose for leaderboards (optional)
House Selection: Your Hogwarts house from the sorting ceremony

Cloud Storage
Leaderboard Data: Usernames, scores, house points, and rankings are stored on Google Firebase servers to enable global leaderboards
Anonymous Identifiers: Your device is identified by an anonymous ID, not personal information
Local Storage
Game Progress: Daily challenge completions, streaks, and preferences are stored locally on your device
Settings: Your notification and sound preferences are stored locally
Privacy Note: We do not collect your name, email address, or other personally identifiable information. Leaderboard usernames are chosen by you and can be any name you prefer.
Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:
Google Firebase: For storing leaderboard data and game statistics. Firebase's privacy policy applies to data stored on their servers.
Superwall: For managing subscription offerings. Superwall may collect analytics data about paywall interactions.
Apple App Store: For processing subscription payments. Apple's privacy policy applies to purchase transactions.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties. Leaderboard data (username, scores, house) is visible to other users of the App. We may share anonymized, aggregated data for analytics purposes.
Push Notifications
The App may send daily push notifications for new challenges (Pwordle, Spell Connections, Quote of the Day). You can enable or disable these notifications in the App's settings or through your device's notification settings.
Children's Privacy
Potterhead is designed to be family-friendly. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App does not require account creation or personal details. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
Choose not to provide a username for leaderboards
Request deletion of your leaderboard data by contacting us
Disable push notifications at any time
Delete all local data by removing the App from your device
Contact us with any privacy-related questions
Data Retention
Leaderboard data is retained as long as the App is active. Local game data is retained until you delete the App. You may request deletion of your cloud data by contacting us.
App Store Integration
This App is distributed through the Apple App Store and is subject to Apple's privacy policies and terms of service in addition to our own.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App or through app updates. Changes are effective immediately upon posting.
