Nigelware ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Kindling Spark mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

Task Data: Tasks you create, including titles, energy levels, estimated durations, and micro-steps
Focus Session Records: Session type, duration, breaks taken, and micro-steps completed during focus sessions
Energy Check-Ins: Your self-reported energy level selections
Dopamine Menu Items: Quick-win activities you create or customize
Settings Preferences: Your break interval, notification, and display preferences
Automatically Collected Data
Usage Analytics: In-app events such as sessions started, tasks completed, and features used — stored entirely on your device for personal insights
Pattern Data: Focus hours, completion trends, and dopamine menu conversion rates — computed on-device and never transmitted
On-Device AI
Entirely On-Device: Kindling Spark uses Apple's Foundation Models framework to decompose tasks into micro-steps. All AI processing happens entirely on your device. No task data, prompts, or AI outputs are ever sent to external servers. When on-device AI is unavailable, the App falls back to bundled templates with no network requests.
Speech Recognition
Kindling Spark offers optional voice input for adding tasks. Speech recognition is performed entirely on your device using Apple's Speech framework with on-device recognition only. Audio is never recorded, stored, or transmitted. You can use the App fully without enabling speech recognition.
Notifications
Kindling Spark may send you local notifications for daily reminders and focus session break suggestions. These notifications are:
Generated entirely on your device
Based on your configured schedule and break interval settings
Fully controllable through the App's settings or your device's notification settings
Not sent through any external push notification service
How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
Provide task management, focus timer, and micro-step functionality
Suggest tasks based on your current energy level
Display your weekly insights, focus patterns, and completion statistics
Power the home screen widget and Dynamic Island live activity with your session data
Adapt break suggestion timing based on your response patterns
Provide customer support when requested
Data Storage and Security
Local Storage: All data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework
No Cloud Storage: We do not store your personal data on external servers
App Group: Task and session data is shared between the main app and the home screen widget via a secure, sandboxed App Group container on your device
Security: We rely on iOS platform security to protect your data, including device encryption and app sandboxing
Privacy First: All your task data, focus sessions, analytics, AI processing, and preferences remain on your device and are never transmitted to external servers.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties. Your data remains private and is not shared with external parties. The App does not contain any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
Children's Privacy
Kindling Spark is designed to be accessible to users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since all data is stored locally on the device and never transmitted, there is minimal privacy risk. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
Access all your data directly within the App
Delete individual tasks, sessions, or dopamine menu items at any time
Request complete deletion of all data by removing the App from your device

App Store Integration
This App is distributed through the Apple App Store and is subject to Apple's privacy policies and terms of service in addition to our own.
